Earl Taylor Jr., 81, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at his home in Elk Creek.
He was born Oct. 25, 1932, in Hurst, Ill., son of Earl Sr. and Mabel Irene Davis Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eleanor; a sister, Carole; and two brothers, Myrl and Jerry.
Survivors include four children, Mike Taylor of Eunice and Dennis, Elaine Ode and Kathy Taylor of St. Louis; a brother, Bill Taylor of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were Tuesday, Jan. 21, in Union Chapel Cemetery with Wesley Wallace officiating. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
