An Elk Creek boy was injured at about 7:15 p.m. Dec. 1 in an accident north of Cabool, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

A Yukon man was seriously injured Tuesday evening when the vehicle he was driving collided with a tractor-trailer that had rolled over on U.S. 63.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Joseph R. Larson, 69, was flown by air ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield following the 6:47 p.m. accident two miles north of Licking. It was unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.

The patrol said a southbound 2016 Freightliner, driven by Joseph M. McCoy, 57, of Centralia, Ill., was blocking the highway after rolling over. Larson’s vehicle, a southbound  2010 Nissan Rogue, then struck it.

Both vehicles were totaled. McCoy was not injured.
