Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings April 17 – April 18.

Members:

  • Contacted Bill Bridges, interim TCMH CEO, about an appointment to the hospital board.
  • Met with a representative from Higginbotham Insurance about benefits the company offers. The representative invited the commissioners to a seminar in Branson.
  • Commissioners John Casey and Scott Long attended the semi-annual full council SCOCOG meeting in Mountain Grove.
  • Commissioners Casey and Robert Ross attended a meeting in Licking concerning Shafer Road.
  • Reviewed and acknowledged the transfer of Shannon Harris from the assessor’s office to the collector/treasurer’s office. The date of transfer will be pending the completion of field reviews.

In other business, commissioners heard from:

  • Debbie James, assessor, concerning a roadway in Lynch Tonwship, an employee leaving her office and a phone call from the Missouri State Tax Commission.
  • Scott Lindsey, sheriff, who gave updates on IT services and a body scanner at the Justice Center.
  • Tammy Cantrell, collector/treasurer, who discussed the account for the CDBG project.
  • Maintenance staff on the condition of the mower and running cable in facilities.
  • Robert Dennison on the roadways located in the Golden Hills subdivision.
  • Isaiah Buse, Houston Herald, about receiving commission minutes in a timely manner.
  • James Sutton, Great Rivers, concerning the Camp Road bridge inspections.
  • Dale Kruse, Cass Township, about the Camp Road bridge inspections.
  • Ryan Hilton, CPI Technologies, concerning email problems across the county and phone problems in the clerk’s office.
  • Heather Deckard, Cass Township, about Camp Road bridge.
  • Elaine Campbell concerning the high tunnel greenhouse at the Justice Center.
